Today i am going to meet my friends, Yc and Lixia for a game of badminton at buona vista cc. It has been so long since i have play badminton. i used to play it every sat with Anqi, kk and the rest of friends in Melbourne, it is indeed very much cheaper here to play here. It is good to exercise one awhile. it should be great fun.

My sleeping disorder is coming back again. Hopefully after the game i would be really tired and get to sleep easily. Been sleeping and keep having the same old dream which i do not like to talk about. My dream makes me realize how short life really is and spend my time fully and richly. Have u ever wonder the things in life which you have always wanted to do or say but you have yet to done it? My bet is do it gradually each day, is hard but one has to try it. The strength and courage would only be filled up slowly thru motivation. I believe all my times are in Lord's hand and all the events that happened are planned and set by him. I would abide in that and live in it with the best i could

Grey Anatomy Season Finale

i finally get a chance to take a look at the Tv series, Grey Anatomy season finale. The story plot towards the ending was once again baffling and tragic. There was a shooter this time round who was a ex patient's husband who came back for revenge to shoot the surgeons, like Derek, Dr Wibber and Lacey from pulling the machine plug which would keep his wife from alive who is daignosed as brain dead. The shooter was a grieving widower. He was metally unstable and he shot anyone who declared themselves as surgeon and anyone who would stop him from getting into the Derek's office. I am not going to give away too much. Will Derek be able to control this situation in the hospital? The last two episodes, they have invited Mandy Moore as a guest star as patient which is really good at acting upon.

The story was however unrealistic towards the ending of the the show. That is my personal opinion. There is no way a doctor can talk to a shooter into commiting suicide rather than to let go of his gun. It is easy to see how the writer makes it so easy to write off the actor or actress who has very minor role in the show. i love this tv series, don;t get me wrong, especially the story plot but i kind of think this season the ending is perfect just to end off the whole show. Nevertheless i looking forward to the next season it in Sept.

Catching up with my primary school mates

Hmm time passed by so fast, it has almost been a mth since i am back in Singapore. Today i have gone to Ikea to get all my furnitures from my wishlist which i have required for my room. I am pretty happy about it and i am kinda of excited to get it fixed. I am thankful to the guy who works in Ikea who provides a great help for me today in putting all my stuff onto the big trolley as my table is huge. The weather is extremely hot today, i have always been missing Melbourne weather. I miss the cold. It is so weird, i have always pondered how did i managed to survive the hot and humid weather in Singapore since i was a kid. of course nevertheless the heat cannot be compared to Melbourn 45 degree celsius back in Summer. It is kind of weird as i have just finished spending my summer time in Melbourne and i came back to Singapore which is summer throughout the whole year. I am getting darker here which i really hates, oh dear. i prefer coming out in the night time..

Getting a bit side track here because of the weather. i have a catch up with Choon mei and peizhi my primary school mate who i have not talk or catch up for the past 13 years since we graduated from our primary school. I am really happy to catch up with them. Choon Mei has owned the credit to making the gathering work. Thank you my dear friend. I really enjoy myself today with them. They have a great sense of humor when they are together as a duo. All three of us are in different fields which make us interesting i supposed. I bet Peizhi would be better at calculation as she is in the banking and finance side. I am supposed to have Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu today at Chinatown, #02-87/88 but it was closed. I ended up having my ban mian instead. The ban mian tastes pretty good with the noodle well made. The soup base is pretty clear with the taste of the ikan bilis (anchovies). I would rate the ban mian 7.5/1o. We headed off to have some dessert. They have had the almond with milk which i hate the almond smell. i had the mango dessert with the coconut skin. I must be hungry and we headed for bubble tea instead which peizhi recommended. We had the honey lemon tea with pearls. The pearls are chewy, nice and the bubble tea shop was pretty generous with them. The queue to get our drinks was however relatively long but it was worth waiting for i suppose. The service from the bubble tea shop name, Koi bubble tea is pretty alright. I enjoy the cold honey bubble tea for the hot weather before i head back home for the day. Good night, that's about it for today. :)

we are indeed one interesting human beings. we always react differently in different places. Back in Melbourne, i would always miss the radio stations from Singapore, like BBC, Class 95 and Gold 90.5 and maybe power 98. Back here in Melbourne, i tend to listen to Fox fm and mixed fm through online streaming. Aren't we funny little creatures?

Toi Et Moi

It has been ages since i have been to Netwon Circus to have my dinner. It has been renovated and has been very popular even when i was in Melbourne. It was well known for the ripped off price. I have to really appreciate the cleaning up of the food centre which is now a better and cleaner place to go to. It is more well ventilated. The experience is rather scary as the minute you sat down on the chair, it is like animation where there is a lot of menus that start flying on to the table and a lot fo people come asking you on what would u like to drink. i have had my fried hokkien mee and oyster omelette... It was very filling indeed till now. The oyster omelette was a total let down as the oysters were not cleaned properly.. The fried hokkien mee was dry and i preferred the one at Tiong Bahru Market.

Thank you uncle Yc for the movie. It is a funny and very light hearted french film. The plot is set in Paris, where there are two sisters name Araine and Lena. Ariane writes photo novellas for the magazine "Toi et moi". She's emotional and her long time boyfriend Farid has her in a state because he won;t propose, won;t ask her to live with him and often is unavilable. Lena is a cellist, quiet and circumspect in life and in her playing. She lives without passion with her boyfriend, Francois, they are talking about having a baby. Suddenly the women have options a cheerful and outgoing spanish construction worker who pays attention to Ariane, and Lena finds herself attracted to Mark a passionate soloist leaving soon to play in Asia who have common interest with her in music. What will the women and men do? Will their life be just like a photo novella. That is what i find so interesting about the show.

Flash Forward

Gilbert was recommending to take a look at the new tv series spin off from ABC, Flash Forward. I was watching it yesterday and i fell in love with it. The writer of the show was totally brilliant. I am not gonna give away too much. If you have like to watch Tv series , Fringe . You would totally love this. The direction and cinematography is really blasting and it really capture your mind. Once again this is like a sci fiction kinda of show. The show revolves around the lives of several people as the mysterious world event causes everyone on the planet to simultanerously to lose consciouness for two minutes and 17 seconds on oct 6 2009. During the blackout, people would have visions of their lives on april 29 2010 which is a global flash forward. The flash forward results in countless deaths and accidents involving vehicles, air crafts and any device which need human control.

This show will make you feel like watching for more to find out the reason behind the flash forward. After you saw the premiere, you would imagine all the things that could happen in the show the whole day.I rate it 8 out of 10. i have only up to ep 10... i need more... Thanks gilbert...

Hmm let me see, oh this is the drawing of the heritage cafe set by a couple in Melbourne. The old man died in the war leaving the old lady who is taking care of this cafe along King st and La Trobe St at the little corner. The old lady was tall, nice and frail. The building itself is consider under the heritage listing. I was in the cafe when during 2006 when i first stayed at Dudley Street. I was enjoying my friday afternoon there in the cafe drinking my favourite camoumile tea. I love heritage and vintage places. That is the culture in Melbourne who keeps that going and put them under heritage which i enjoyed. What a memory =) pardon me about the rotation of the photo hmmm weird on my computer is horizontal but when i post it , it become odd...

Trekking At MacRitchie Reservoir

Wow, what a awesome day. I can't bearly feel my legs today. I finally got to eat the Mackers Big breakie today. The familir yellow rectangular box with my hashbrown and cup of orange juice. I pondered am i more used to the portion of food serve in Melbourne. The big breakkie portion seems to be relatively small though, with two bread buns, one piece of meat and the scrambled eggs. I really do enjoy the breakie with my dear good friends, Choon Mei and Yoke Chye at the Mackers which i always go to during school days to study with my secondary school friends. i miss this place , classic mackers which u can only find it here which looks like japanese garden. We are blessed with the nice breeze today. Trio was leased by our table while we are eating. We were about to finish out food when YC realized hmm there is a prohibited dog sign on the restaurant premises.

I can understand why dog is not allowed in restaurant premises because of hygene issue but i cannot apprehend why Singapore do not have the culture of having dogs outside the cafe or a park like MacRitchie Reservoir. Back in Melbourne, the culture is so different, everywhere is dog friendly especially the park as long as they are leashed. Trio was only allowed to walk around the MacRitchie Reservoir Road and not the reserve. Basically after i took her around she was in Yc's car most of the time while we went trekking. It was a blessing that Trio did not come along as i knew she would not be able to trek for so long and she would have stopped and i have to carry her throughout the trekking. Trekking was fun and really exhausting because the ground is kinda of muddy and slippery after the heavy rain the morning. I have gone to HSBC tree top walk before in a shortcut way where boss dropped me off last time nearer to it. Never did i realized the full distance is really long and is almost like never ending trek. This is the first time experience for YC and CM at HSBC tree top walk. I can see they really enjoy it.. i must tell u YC your stamina is darn good... my knees are like aching when i climbed up or down the stairs. I enjoy the slimy muddy trekking with them and going up and down the steps / slope. I love the fresh air that is saturated in the forest. hehe and we cheated by taking bus for 3 stops whaha....oops....

The food serving in the cafe at Macritchie is a total ripped off especially for YC chicken cultet and fries for the price of $4.90. My chicken feet noodle was a total shock to me, it was instant noodle kinda of noodle, lol. I have never seen chicken feet in such a dark black color before but i have to admit the chicken feet is well marinated with some herbs sauce. CM has the ice cream on waffle which is quite all right. Lucky her....MacRitchie changes a lot from the olden times where i would have my cross country last time. I love the visitor centre boss designed for MacRitchie. I am happy that i was involved in the project of the urban planning of MacRitchie last time. Glad that i am finally able to go there to take a look at the changes. Ok i am getting tired bed time....gd nite ...Thank you Lord for all the wonderful time i have had today with my friends in the nature.

Finally My Bean Bag is Full

Today i accompany my sec friend, Thye Seng to 313 at orchard to get his t shirts. it is really interesting to see how a guy shop so fast unlike us girls.hehe we walked awhile in the building as it was my first time walking inside.

After a short while we headed to the bean rester to get my bean beads from Park Mall. It is so difficult to find bean chair and bean beads in Singapore unlike in Melbourne it is at the door step at big W. There are only four shops that sell bean chair and bean beads. They are Spotlight at PS, Bean rester at parkmall, Giant and Art Friend. This would soon be in my room...

so far i have only tried the Ah Guan Mee Pok, it is not too bad, the sea food are fresh but the portion is kinda of going to make you hungry after an hour. The noodle is chewy with the mince pork nicely marinated. The yong tau fu at chinatown is not too bad too.
