Commercial Break 2

Summer Break- C1

CHAPTER 1
I pondered a lot about my love life after I was initially being “dumped” by so many girlfriends of mine into the “rubbish bin”. Well I had no idea what was wrong with me. They put me under one category and that was the flirt. I had no idea I was one until one of my girlfriends crying to break up with me because I was a flirt. Well first of all I had no idea why did I date a girl. I’m sixteen and how was I supposed to know so much about love. All I knew was crush on a girl. Sound like a jerk wasn’t it. Well I did not care at all. It was ridiculous to break a guy’s heart on valentine day. Am I a cold- blooded animal? That did not really, does it? Well I didn’t because summer break was coming and I was definitely going to enjoy myself. However I’m pretty sure I am not a gay. I just did not know how to make a girl feel the right way that’s it. In my mind now was only about how to enjoy my summer break. Maybe I have not found the right one in my life.

“Jacob, are you joining us?” Kelvin asked.

“Why not, sure.” I replied.
I hopped into my friend’s jeep. I was clad in a loose cotton jacket over a voluminous shirt.

“Guess what, its time to say good bye to New York and Los Vegas here we come. Heard that you were dumped again. You are so good at being dumped.” Kelvin teased.

“Well actually I do not really care about the girls at all.” I argued.
We stopped at the nearby petrol station to refuel our car and went to the miniature store to buy some food and drinks.

“This must be our lucky day to see all the sexy babes here.” Kelvin said cheekily.
I just can’t believe why Kelvin, Josh and Jerry were so desperate for girls. I got to admit the girls were of real ravishing but I just had no idea why it didn’t take my breath away. There were indeed some girls kept stealing glances at me.

“Hey pretty boy, you get the attention again.” Josh teased me.
I took no offence from his tease and continued to shop for food and drinks. I brought the food and drinks to the counter to pay for them. I can’t believe that I had to drag them into the jeep.

“What is wrong with you? We are having some conversation with the girls while you spoil the whole plan of mine.” Jerry yelled at me in the jeep while driving.

“Aren’t we supposed to enjoy ourselves during summer and we are on our way to Los Vegas.” I argued back.
We remained silent all the way until we stopped the jeep and had some drinks. Quiet breezes, gentle as a baby’s breath, brushed window curtains and kissed the new bright- green leaves on the trees. Out of the blue, an eye-catching red Ferrari car sped past us.

“That’s cool, seem like we gonna have a race going on.” Jerry exclaimed wildly.
With that he put on his high speed to the car and we managed to catch up with the Ferrari car. We were bewildered that the driver was a captivating blond hair girl. She was accompanied with her group of girlfriends. Again Jerry made the first move again by saying hi but it seemed that they were too arrogant but threw back a perfect benevolent smile back at us. I got to admit that the blond hair girl did turned my heart a little.

“Kate, seemed like you did it again. You captured the eyes of the guys again.” Sarah teased.

“Not this time, there’s one more guy I have not touches his heart. The guy who sits at the back seat nears our side. He has bright ginger hair and a pair of mischievous blue eyes. He got the charm here.” Kate admitted.

“Finally a guy made you breathless. Well he is cute.” Sarah continued.

“Cool break with cute girls, how perfect our day is.” Jerry exclaimed.

“Cute enough to be your chicks or should I say girlfriends.” I teased.

Finally we reached Los Vegas. We headed for the posh hotel above the eminent casino. We parked the car in the car park. We took the elevator up to the counter room. Just as I was pressing the close button, when I heard someone shouted us to hold on. I pressed the open button and was pretty surprised to see that they were the girls just now. They stepped into the lifts and this delighted Jerry and Kelvin.

“Thanks, anyway.” Kate finally spoke.

“My pleasure,” I replied with a spooky-smooth voice.

We reached the counter floor in second time. The girls walked out of the lift fast. We too walked towards the counter soon. Soon we realized there were not enough hotel rooms but there was one big 1st class hotel room that was enough for ten people. Since I called and booked the room for hotel, it was no doubt that we got the room but for the girls I doubt so. The manager passed me the keys. Just as we were walking away to our room. I turned back towards the girls.

“If you don’t mind sharing the room with us, I think we will always welcome you. Don’t worry, I do not have any bad intentions.” I recommended before I headed toward the room.

“What’s now? Shall we go?” Sarah asked.

“Why not?” Kate replied.

“You are so clever to invites the chicks for us. Thank you pal.” Jerry thanked me.

“But please do not do anything silly ok?” I reminded them.

There was knocking on the door and I’m sure was the girls. I opened the door and welcomed them in. I also handed one of the keys to Kate. My pals obviously started to interact with them. I packed my clothes into the cupboard and decided to go for a bath later. I opened the bathroom door and surprised to see Kate was in there totally naked as she was bathing. I immediately closed the door. I walking outside the door up and down thinking of how to explained to Kate. Kate finally came out.

“Hmm, look Kate that was not what you think. I have no idea that you are in there. I’m sorry for everything.” I explained.

“Ok, I know but it seemed like next time whoever bathing in there make sure that he or she locked two doors. Keep this as a secret.” Kate smiled and walked away.
I hailed a sigh of relief.

I went into the bathroom and locked two doors. I took a swift bath. I changed into a blue cotton shirt and a casual white casual pant. I walked out of the bathroom seeing that the guys were still trying to impress the girls. I went into the living room where I could listen to the music I liked. Seem like someone was before me, none other than Kate.

“Seem like you have finished bathing pretty fast.” Kate teased me.

“I think that is pretty cool and honor to have a company of gorgeous girls around us. Nice taste of songs by Chicago.” I exclaimed.

I sat on the yellow cozy couch, drying my hair with the white towel. Kate kept stealing glances at me. Maybe I was sensitive but I was pretty sure she was still looking at me. At the instant, there was this urge for me to look at her long, fair, bare and sexy legs. I knew this was wrong and I tried to close my eyes and try to use this to distract me but every time I did this it seemed that I could hear her breathing instead of the songs. Thank god, Kelvin came in and asked me to join in for dinner. I agreed without hesitation. I walked out of the room to proceed to the restaurant. The most unbelievable thing was to be in the same elevator with Kate alone. Silence just broke off in the elevator but never did I expect the elevator would broke down at this moment. I pressed the alarm bell in the elevator. The worst thing was my mobile phone’s battery went flat. I just sat on the ground of the elevator.

“Kate are you alright?” I asked.

“I’m fine but I think we’re going to get hungry.” Kate replied.

“After talking with you so long and I still have yet to know about you. Shall we take this time to introduce?” I suggested.

“That’s a good idea. You shall be the first to start as a gentleman.” Kate insisted.

“Fine with me. I’m Jacob from New York. I’m currently studying in Riverdell’s high school. I’m the only child in my family. I think the introduction I have made was quite a lot and now is your turn.” I introduced.

“Well, I’m Kate from New York too. I’m currently studying in Brisbane’s high school. I’m the youngest child in my family. I have a dog, Thor. Well I have finished introducing, and I got a question for you. Tell me about your life.” Kate asked.

“I’m a proficient ice-skater since young. I love seagulls, as they are the most liberal animals. I love dolphins and penguins too, as they are the most friendly and gentleman animals. I respected my parents a lot as much as I respected my friends. My greatest asset is my friend. For my love life, it didn’t go as smooth as you think. I was being dumped because I’m not a perfect boyfriend that would know how to treat his girl right. Well I think that’s it.” I answered.

“Sound interesting to me. I love seagulls too as I love the freedom they have. I’m more onto music. I love guys that can play piano or any sorts of musical instrument. I’m thankful that I have a bunch of friends around me. Love life is not that great too because the guys I met is not really what I expected and they liked me for my body and not like me for just me.” Kate told me.

I could feel Kate’s head onto my shoulder. I could feel the heat in the elevator. At last there was somebody to open the lift up and I woke Kate up and we both got out of the elevator.

CHAPTER 8

I stood up and taking off my shirt and stepped onto the track machine. I pressed the sensitive button to the running time I wanted to run on the machine. I began running as if I was running around the park. I had unlocked the chains of complicated issues in my heart I presumed. I clicked one of the remote control to click on the message recorder to listen to the messages being recorded when I was not around. I was even more focused on my plan to take my dad down. It was not based on vengeance but more on to make my conscience go with a natural flow than living with guilt all my life. I had a continuous running for half an hour before I decided to do push ups. I was going to prepare myself for the sat sneak into dad’s office. As I was doing my push ups, a phone call came ringing in my house. I was not able to pick up the phone to answer it as I was doing my push up in the middle. The phone call was transferred into my message record machine.

“This is Andie Anderson, I was about to go asleep but happen to see the light in your house was still on. It was kind of distracting, I’m just kidding. You left your medicine in my bag. I was wondering if you were still awake if not I’ll put the medicine in your letter box tomorrow morning. Well good morning once again.” Andie left the message.

I did my last push ups before I headed to the bath room in my room to do a swift shower. I got changed into a normal T-shirt and a pair of khaki Bermuda. I walked out wearing my socks on the pair of blue night slipper. I walked up toward her door, seeing that all the lights in the house was switched off except for the lights in the porch. I hesitated a little on whether to press the door bell. It took me almost a century to decide on doing it or not. I pressed on the door bell once waiting for her to answer the door. My hair was still in a mess as I was rushing toward her house to get my medicine. As I was tidying my hair, the door was opened with Andie wearing shorts and smock type blouse with long sleeves. In my mind I was thinking she looked so attractive and appealing even she was just wearing so casually in the night. My thoughts were interrupted by her tap on my shoulder.

“What are you thinking, Max McGuire? I thought you had fallen asleep as you did not answer the phone.” Andie began.

“Well I was doing push-ups when you gave me a call. I am sorry to disturb you at such odd hours. I am here to collect the medicine. Once again, I’m sorry.” I replied.

“Give me a minute, while I will go in and take your medicine.” Andie reacted.

“Here is your medicine, you have to take two time per day. One in the morning and one in the night. Have a nice rest. Good night.” Andie greeted.

“Nope, is good morning.” I chuckled as I walked back to my house.

I made a decision to take my medicine later in the morning. It was almost three plus in the morning. I went up to my room and lighted up a few candles to say good bye and good night to Liz. I fell deep into the world of my own in no time as I was too weary to do anything. In my dream world I saw Liz who was smiling and waving good bye to me and out of the blue my dream scene changed to be in a car. Andie was sitting next to me in the car. Her cheek was bright crimson and her lips were sweet and responsive. I held her hand, she curled her fingers through mine and kissed back with pleasure and enthusiasm. She had some remsemblance to Liz on her personality and her looks. There was no tongue touching but it was a through searching kiss. She had my hands inside her sweater, rubbed my thumb over the smooth cotton of her bra-cup, feeling stiff little rise of her nipple. Her arms still locked around my neck. She opened her sweater, her bra was draped over the seat with one strap hanging down, thick white strap with her nipple rough in my mouth. I could hear live pulse of her breath, wordless whisper in my mouth as we kissed. I was slipping one of my own hands up her thigh. It woke me up instantly by such sinful lust dream. It was more than just some erotic fun. It was definitely inappropriate for me to have such dream. I turned around to look at the time and it was almost seven in the morning as there is a sky of mackerel clouds, crimson and amble tinted. I walked down to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of orange juice. I decided to cook myself some breakfast. I fried myself with some lightly scrambled eggs, toast and crisp beacon. I ate the breakfast promptly. I headed to take a hasty shower and got into my wardope and I was well-dressed with a brilliant neck tie. I carried my backpack on my bag and took the plate of breakfast I cooked specially for Andie as I felt remorseful over the dream issue. I headed to her house and press the door bell. She was early and fast to answer the door.

“Max McGuire,” She greeted.

“Hmm well I woke up early and cooked breakfast and I thought of cooking for your share too as an appreciation to thank you as well as it was always good to have breakfast before work. Well I got to go.” I put the plate of breakfast on her hands before I hopped into my jeep and drove to the office.

As I was driving, the thought of the erotic dream kept running around my mind. I was pondering what I was doing and thinking. I had already made a mistake with Claire and I could not afford to repeat the mistake. I reached the office rather earlier than before. The elevator was not as packed with working office people as usual. Maybe I was too early. The people working in my dad’s office were early as usual. I got into my office and shut the door behind me. I switched on my computer waiting for dad to enter my office and giving me assignment to do. The waiting was not long before the knocking on the door began. My dad stride into my office room with a rueful smile which seem to imply on he was going to shoot some question about my therapy. I was anticipating the question from dad.

“Max, so how’s the psychiatrist you visited yesterday?” My dad shot the question.

“She was good and professional. I never thought it would be easier to approach someone. Well I guessed I did it and I was feeling better.” I answered my dad question.

“Well, I was pretty glad to hear that Max. I need you to key in a few accounts to the West Central Bank through the net as we have clinched a few new deals which mean we had new customers. These are the documents of the clients. That’s the only assignment I had for you for today. If you finished the assignment early, you can go party as today is Friday. I’m flying tonight again. Enjoy your weekend, Max.” My dad instructed.

“Thanks dad, enjoy your weekend too.” I responded.

I was rather exultant by the little assignment I was supposed to do for the day. However at the same time as I logged on to the web page of the bank, I began looking through the documents carefully words to words. The documents of the business looked rather decent but I had doubt in that. I typed in the new accounts onto the bank web page. At the same time I was sending the information of the account to Ethan through my watch. Ethan received the information without more ado. He sent back a message saying he would check the accounts soon and instructed me to be prepared for tomorrow sneak in. At the same time I took my time in snapping some photo shots of the whole office using my watch. I walked into my dad’s office with the documents and placing them on the table and took the time while he was in the restroom to take a few snap shot of every inch of the room. Just in time when my dad stepped into the office, I finished snapping the shots.

“That is real quick. Well then, have a nice day son.” My dad began.

I smiled as I walked out of the room and got my backpack in my room and headed to the car park. I got onto my jeep and drove toward the park where Andie brought me to lighten up. Ethan messaged me asking for the wherebout of me. I replied in message by saying that I was in the park near my house. He replied me by telling me that he would be selling hotdogs today. I was sitting at the soft carpet grass. The sun shone more kindly now, and the trees which framed the scene were golden and lovely. I decided to lie down on the soft grass and take an afternoon nap. It was so unperturbed that I strolled right into the dream world of mine. I was awaken by the shouting of the hotdogs for two bucks.

“Well sir, do you hotdogs?” Ethan asked me.

“Sure can I have two, thanks.” as I passed him the money.

“Well the plan is I got all the photo shots of the offices. I would be sending you one copy too. You got to shut the laser system security down for at least fifteen minutes. I would print out the photo shots tonight and would be using them for tomorrow at the CCTV camera.” I suggested.

CHAPTER 7

It would be an important event I was going to play with Ethan. The bank was going to close at five. I was racing my jeep to the bank trying to heed the time and at the same time I was going to change the identity with him at the washroom. It had to simply work without any flaws. Any flaw would result one of us to have instant conversation with God. This was going to be hard but we did not seem to have any choice in choosing. The traffic light seemed to be in my favour, green light throughput each junction of the road. I stalled my jeep just outside the bank. I stride into the bank scanning every corner for Ethan. He was sitting at the red couch reading the Gerald’s Times newspaper. I gave him an eye contact to head down to the washroom. I entered one of the cubicle scanning the whole area to ensure there was no camera or stuffs. I got dressed to what Ethan was wearing and put on his identical look skin onto my face.

As I walked out of the cubicle he was me he was dressed looking alike. I passed him the key and card. I walked out of the cubicle first and sat on the couch. He was led to a private room to do the money banking in. In the private room, he was transferring the data information of the money into his watch as if he was just reading time from it. I was reading the newspapers and scanning the surrounding. I was sending instant message to Ethan using my watch too. He was tapping the authorisation card and key onto his belt. He banked in the money and walked out of the private room and headed to the washroom. I got my identity back in no time. I headed back to the office and put the card and key on my dad’s office table. He had already headed home but I could not just logged into his computer as he had camera installed in his room. As I walked out of his room, I took picture of his room and the whole office layout.

I drove back to my house with the company of the music song played by Liz Phair “Why can’t I?” The song was cool for driving by the road. I reached home parking my jeep at the usual garage. I unlocked the timber door to my house. It was indeed a busy and tiring day. I decided to make a phone call to order Chinese food delivery of the seafood noodle. I took a warm shower thoroughly to clear my mind. I got out from the shower wearing a blue cotton shirt with a pair of Bermudas. I went on to sit on the couch and lay there waiting for my food to be delivered.

My eyelids were heavy till they were slowly shut. I was sitting on a hilltop all by myself. There was little yellow flowers blooming as they are snow-capped mountain peaks in distance and down below valley was all green and dotted with little houses. There was pretty meadow and sat down taking in the scenery. As I slowly drawn to the place I was in, out of the blue, there was the ringing of the door bell. I was awakened promptly. I walked toward the door to open the door. The delivery man for the Chinese food was there.

“50 bucks sir,” the man asked.

“Here you go thanks.” I replied.

I took the food and closed the door slowly. I strolled toward the dining table and took the chopsticks and open the food packet. The aroma of the food was pretty appetizing and as you first tasted it, it was so scrumptious. The seafood which was part of the noodle was very fresh too. I finished the food in a short time. I closed the food packet and aimed at the rubbish bin at the kitchen before I threw like throwing a basketball to a net.

I walked toward my laptop and switched it on waiting to observe the office layout. I was devising a flawless plan to enter into the office and stealing the information and took it as evidence. I was thinking of entering the office from the top through the air con ducts as there’s where the security was less but at the same I knew there would be laser detecting device in the air con duct too. I needed a partner on the mission. I had solved the problem of the CCTV cameras in the office. I would use the computer effect to make record of the office and replayed it in the office video of the camera. Ethan could play the double identity with me to decrease the doubt of me in my dad’s office stealing information. I was thinking maybe there was no need for me to climb from the air con duct. I would just walk in from the front door. The camera would rotate in a few angles while I could ask Ethan to stay put in the washroom. I would use the laptop to connect with the network cameras system of the office and replayed the recorded situation of the office that I took today.

With that, I had even come to a decision that I would make use of the following Saturday when he would fly to Paris to take a break from work. He led on a luxurious life since young. He was indeed a very successful man but not a righteous man that did all the crimes. I sent message to Ethan telling him all the plans I had devised. He replied without hesitation agreeing to my plans. I sauntered toward my bedroom to my bed. I lay on the comfy bed with the blanket that covered to top half of my body. I was like a child all of the sudden awaiting for the sleep to come upon me. My mind was too weary to think of other issues after a long working brainstorming day. I was lying in the bed and in no time I was led to a dream world of my own gradually. I had an indeed good sleep till morning I was awaken by the ringing alarm clock. I clicked the remote control to open up the curtains of my room’s window.

The sun rose in a pool of crimson and gold, spilling light over the nearby trees bringing them to life. I went to take a cold morning shower getting dressed to my formal wear with a brilliant necktie, shining pin were flamboyant in their effect. I opened the door and I felt the cool morning breeze brushing through my body welcoming me to a brand new day ahead. I got onto my jeep and drove to the nearby city to the prominent Starbucks to get a cup of cappuccino and a piece of cheese cake. I got back into my jeep and drove to the office. The car parks were fully parked with cars till I had to drive around the car park a few time before I got a vacant car parking lot for me to stall my jeep. I took the elevator to the office tower. The office was flooded with usual dad’s working stuff. I got used the large crowds since young. I walked into my office closing the door behind me shutting myself to have some peace finally from the crowd outside. I drank the beautifully brew cup of cappuccino and ate the piece of cheese cake.

“Sorry, that I did not knock the door. I just want to praise you for the fast job you did for me. I have to go meet the client now. See you around, son.” My dad began.

“No worry,” I replied as he closed the door.

I was enjoying the breathtaking view of the city of buildings. I logged onto the internet and decided to hack into my dad’s system since he was not around. I also sent message to Ethan asking him to shut the security system down of my office.

“I needed at least ten minutes before I could do that. Be careful,” Ethan replied.
I calculated the time to ten minutes before I begin my action on hacking. As the time strike ten minutes after, I began on my hacking immediately. I managed to hack to the clients’ list of my dad and downloaded all the information to my watch.

“You got exactly five minute to download the information before the security system recovered.” Ethan sent me the message.
Time was ticking away fast while I was trying to download the system.

“Target is coming back to the office in 50 yards away from his office room.” Ethan sent me another message.
I was not giving up as I was just one minute away from finished downloading.

“Stop what you are doing, he’s was just outside the door of your office.” Message written in the watch.
As I heard the turning of the door knob of my door, I had just finished downloading and I switched the internet to a movie watching and erasing all the information and logged in network from my computer.

“Max, I forgot to tell you that I was going to the golf course tonight. Do you want to join me?” my dad opened the door and began.

“Sorry dad, I had a basketball game to catch tonight on TV.” I replied.

“What are you doing before I come in?” My dad asked.

“Watching a movie, How to lose a guy in ten days.” I replied calmly.

“I see, enjoy your movie.” With that my dad walked out of my office.

I felt a sense of relief as my dad ambled out of the room. Ethan hailed a sigh of relief when I sent him the message I was all right. I sent him all the information I had gathered from the hacking to him without more ado.
An incoming icon popped out giving me the knowledge that there was incoming email.
When I opened the email, it was written;
Dear Max,
Hwo aer you? I misi you so much. I hope you aer doning all right. Take crae of yuosrelf.
C.

I was confused by the email initially but however in the end I figured out this letter was written in this manner in purpose to distract other people from reading this email. I presumed the email was from Claire.

The email was supposed to be;
Dear Max,
How are you? I miss you so much. I hope you are doing all right. Take care of yourself.
C.

I replied the email;
Dear C.,
I’m doning all right. You do need to wrroy about me. It’s tmie for you ot og back ot wehre you are form.
It si much sefar. Tahnks fro craing fro me. Take crae of yuosrelf too.
Max.

This was the last email I sent before I logged out of the computer. I stride toward the couch in my office and lay on the couch like a small boy lying on the bed with both arms cross below my head letting time slipped past gradually. I was pondering on whether I should look for a psychiatrist to heal my mind as right now I felt so loss. This time round I came to a decision that my heart would determine on whether I should go and the answer from my heart was yes I should go. I took a newspaper from the table and started to browse for a psychiatrist I would visit. There was this psychiatrist from Norway who recovered from a close shave from snow slide as she went for sky skiing that caught my attention. I picked up a nearby phone and decided to make an appointment with her later in the evening.

“Hi this is Andie Anderson clinic, how can I help you?” Andie greeted from the other line.

“Hi, my name is Max McGuire. I was hoping to have an appointment with you this evening, is it possible?” I asked.

“Mr McGuire, you can drop by this evening at Mabel’s Street, 21. No worry, I have filled you into the slot for the last appointment for the day.” Andie replied.
I hung up the phone with my jacket held on one hand walking toward my dad’s office. I knocked on his door.

“Max, you looked very tired. How can I help you?” My dad asked.

“Dad I was hoping I could get off from work an hour earlier as I have an appointment with my psychiatrist. I made up my mind to see one to get better and move on as I can barely sleep lately.” I asked politely.

“Sure my son, you can get off from work anytime. I do not have any assignment for you yet. Take as much break as you need.” My dad answered.

“Thanks dad, I replied.

I got going and drove to the Mabel’s Street, 21. I had been driving for hours and as I drove past the busy street filled with people walking around shopping and doing some window shopping around the street made my heart felt so empty in a sudden. I reached the Mabel’s street finally and stalled my car at the sides of the road. I took some coins out placing them into the parking machine. I walked up to the building and climbed the flight of staircase. As I began to walked up the stair, each step I took on the stairs gave a cranky sound which echoed throughout the whole building. The building looked rather new from the outside but I guessed the saying of never judged a book by its cover made sense to me now. The psychiatrist clinic was at the fifth storey. I turned the door knob of the polished timber oak door slowly and walking into the clinic like a gentleman.

“Hi sorry to interrupt, is this the Andie Anderson clinic? I’m Max McGuire coming for my appointment.” I introduced politely.

“Yup, that’s right you are in the right clinic. Please take a seat at the couch and made yourself feel home. I would attend to you in a short while.” An answer echoed from inside of the other room.

I was wondering how this psychiatrist looked like, would she be a very matured woman or someone around my age. It was just a kind of thinking to keep me busy. In a pithy five minutes, there was this middle-age man with dark, mahogany-red hair and sandy brown eyes who came out of the room.

The man threw a short glance at me before sitting down at the couch beside me.

“You must be one of the suitors of the psychiatrist. You looked so puerile compared to other suitors of her. She is so hot that she can make the guys ejaculate when they see her. Guess you must be drooling for her like me.” The man beside me began.

“I begged your pardon, I was here not because I knew she was alluring. I was here because of her profession. It had just proven how unrefined you were for a man who was middle-age older than me that I could even addressed you as dad. Forgive me for being rude but I do think you deserve that. I believed you do not just need a psychiatrist but a counsellor to counsel you on how to resist your sex addiction.” I rebuked.

“Well, I think I have to thank you in entrusting your faith in my profession. You must be Max. It’s your turn now and you may proceed to the room and take a sit at the orange couch inside. Mr. Barry, I take that as a compliment. This is the prescription I had prescribed for you. See you in two months time.” Andie interrupted.

Andie Anderson was an impossibly tall woman, with long blond hair being tied back behind her face and had the most exquisite brown eyes I ever saw. She was dressed in a little sheath so scrupulously cut, it fitted to her every spectacular curve and jut. I was lying down on the orange couch as I was rather weary on that day. Andie walked right into the room with the door closed behind her. She sat at the movable arm chair beside me.

“Hi Max, my name is Andie and I am your psychiatrist. I needed to ask you a few questions before leading to the main questions. Where do you stay?” She asked.
She had a full, rich and seductive voice.

“I stayed in Queens’ Street 11.” I answered.

“Is it possible you can give me your mobile number or house number? How old are you?” Andie questioned me again.

“Well let’s see I gave you my house number then, 7008201135. I am twenty this year. How old are you? kind of curious.” I replied.

“Well usually I do no answer question about me but I will do an exceptional this time. I am in the same age as you are. I can feel the anger you had just now outside and at the same time you had something bad that happened before in the past which kind of made you reacted in the way just now. Would you want to tell me the story of yourself?” Andie hesitated before she added.

“If I told you my life was not as simple as a normal should have, would you believe me? Would you be in fear if I told you I was once a professional cold hearted killer before but I was never being caught? I longed to have a normal life as a boy who you seen from your everyday life. I knew a girl from childhood till high school. However we were typical star cross lovers which could not be together as I was assigned to kill her and her family. I held back as I was not so professional after all as I was emotional. I fell in love with her the first time as a boy as I saw her from neighbourhood. I continued to be with her regardless of any risks I was entitled with. She knew me and saw through my personality which no one ever could do. She knew my assignment was to kill her and did not stay away from me but instead she tried to cheer me up and even willing to sacrifice herself for me to complete my assignment. My dad was furious and grave about such issue and came together with my trainer professional killer to track her down. I attempted so much to save and protect her but I fail. It has been a year since she was dead and I just has sleepless night with conscience haunting me. I think the story of life ended here with a full stop. How could you help me? I heard you survived from the snow slide. This was why I had faith in you that someone who had come close with death before knew how I felt.” I summarised.

“I have to say that I’m very shock to hear that. First of all I like to say I’m sorry about the girl. Sometimes in your life, you might think that you had actually cause her death but in the actual fact, you did not really cause the death of her if you get what I meant. She was killed by your dad not you. The fact that you lost someone closest to you in your life had the greatest impact in your life. You were seeking for forgiveness from her all along your life which you had got it long time ago from her. Acceptance from her to be with you was the biggest step she ever did to forgive you at the same time. Maybe someday in life, not today not tomorrow but someday you would learnt to accept the fact she was gone. Pain would fly away in the wings of the pain. Max, I would be prescribing you with some sleeping pills to help you in having a nice rest. Proceed on to the outside to get your medicine.” Andie advised.

“Maybe you are right, thank you.” I continued walking outside to collect my medicine.

“The next appointment time would be next tuesday same time. Is it ok with you, Mr McGuire?” Andie added as she passed me the medicine.

“Sure, you can called me Max. It was kind of weird when someone who was around my age to call me in such formal way. Would you like to have dinner together since it was already so late? I did not have any other intention.” I asked.

“Sure, someone who was honest in the beginning would not have any bad intention. It would be a rare pleasure and honour to have dinner with a professional killer, just kidding. Do you have a place in mind?” Andie replied.

“It was a sure pleasure. I was thinking we had dinner in the café just a few blocks from here which I drove past when I was heading here.” I suggested with an infrequent smile.

“I could determine that you are one observant person but it basically from your profession instinct, I guessed. Sure I heard the nearby café was eminent.” Andie agreed.
We walked out of the door of the clinic together with her locking the doors behind her. With an tremendous security system she had installed, I had no doubt that the privacy issue of client to stand. I guided her to my jeep, while I opened the door for Andie to get into the jeep.

“Thank you,” Andie added.
I just shot her with a smile. I got onto the driver’s seater and began driving to the nearby café. It was a brief five minutes ride to the café. I found a perfect car park lot to stall my jeep. She got out of the jeep by opening the door herself. I got off and insert coins to the parking machine nearby. We got into the café with a waiter welcoming us to the café. It was a miniature café with a nice music saturating the café. We got to sit in the window seats. The waiter passed us the menu of the café to each of us.

“I think I would like to have an entrée seafood spaghetti and a glass of ice lemon tea.” Andie decided.

“I think I would take the same thing as you took.” I replied as I signalled the waiter to take our order.

“Hi, I would like to have two entrée seafood spaghetti and two glasses of ice lemon tea. That’s all for our ordering.” I ordered.

The waiter repeated our order before walking off.

“Well it seemed to me that you were very familiar with the ordering of food, Max.” Andie began.

“Not really, but it was just a routine thing to do.” I responded.

Both of us remained very silent after the short talk. I guessed it would be rather awkward for both for us to chat too long. The music playing in the café was Britney Spears, new single Everytime. The song was played with the piano at the background. Memories of the past was drawing nearer to me. Waiter came in time to serve the order we made. I thought Andie saw through my hidden sorrow through my eyes. She did not mention a word. I continued to eat the seafood spaghetti slowly trying to enjoy every little specific taste of it. The sweetness of the sauce of the Bolognese sauce matched the freshness of the seafood. The way Andie consumed the plate of spaghetti resembled so much about Liz. Liz liked to twirl the spaghetti with the sparking stainless steel as she said it was so wonderful that there was this old folks story about there was this young little boy who was so poor to has any water supply use for cleaning. He came up with a way to clean the utensils with his mouth by tasting every part of the fork when he ate spaghetti. The little boy became a very particular food taster when he grew up.

“Max, what are you thinking? You seemed to have penny of your thoughts.” Andie asked.

“No just thinking the way you ate was pretty interesting.” I answered.

“Shall we go as there was still a long queue outside the café?” Andie added.
I nodded my head in agreement. We got into my jeep. I did not start the engine of my car as I did not know where to head to.

“Max, just drove the way I was going to guide you as I was going to teach you another way to make yourself feel lighten up.” Andie began.
I buckled up the seat belt and drove the way she guided me. We drove to a nearby park which was near my house. I was kind of puzzle but was keen what she was up to. We got off from the jeep. I just followed like a small little boy following my mom around the town.

“Here we are, when I was a little girl, I used to come here all the time whenever I was sad. I would just sit here and looked across the clear pond with the chorus of frogs from the creek and the myriad softer sounds that stir in the night. I would just dance by myself all night long. I hoped this worked for you.” Andie suggested.

“Sometimes if you are quiet, you would get to hear neighbouring house playing their unplugged music.” Andie added.
True enough there was the playing of Bon Jon Jovi’s song ‘Always’ from the neighbouring estate.
There was a small drizzle falling and beating on my hot face. I asked Andie like a perfect gentleman for a dance. We just kept dancing around the soft grass patch like the dance floor which was occupied by us. The feeling was very different and my mind seemed to be empty but filled with the music. I enjoyed the sensation night dance at the park with the sound of the flowing water in the pond.

“I got to go Max, I had an early appointment with my patient tomorrow.” Andie spoke.

“Sure let me drive you back as it was rather late.” I offered.
As we were walking back to my jeep, I was dancing and hopping like a little boy who had just learnt dancing. This was the first time I had shown the innocence and playfulness of a little boy ever since Liz had left me to have conversation with God.

“I think this works perfectly well for you, Max as you looked more brighten up than just now.” Andie added.

“May I ask you a personal question?” I asked.

“That depends, Mr McGuire.” She replied.

“I just wanted to thank you for your help today. I was just wondering if you have a boyfriend as I just felt he was the luckiest man on earth to have someone so understanding like you.” I added.

“Thank you but this was my job. Sometime in my profession, I was good at giving advice to others but when all this happened to my life it would be a very different story. I would not be so optimistic. I had a boyfriend but he had the same destiny as your girlfriend. You read on the newspapers on the accident I met while sky skiing in Norway. He did not survive the snow slide like I did as he tried to navigate me out of the danger first. I did not take the fact that he was dead initially very well till after a long while. It was rather surprising I would tell my patient so much.” Andie sat in the jeep quietly after that.

“I’m so sorry.” I reacted.

“It was all right. I stayed just a few streets away after the right turn.” Andie added.
As I drove as she said I realised she was just staying opposite me across the street. I parked my car in my garage.

“I think you dropped me at the wrong house. My house was the one opposite.” Andie reacted.

“This was my house and I was going to walk you over to your house opposite.” I added.
She was indeed very astounded.

“Get out of town, you serious?” Andie asked.

“If I was kidding, I won’t be able to park my jeep in the garage, would I? Well I was pretty surprised too myself. Let me walk you over to your house.” I replied.
I strolled with her to her house. Her house had a passage with bed of roses at the sides welcoming her way back to her home.

“Good night Andie Anderson.” I greeted her.

“Good morning, Max McGuire.” Andie greeted me back.

I just headed back to my house. I opened the door slowly with my key turning the door knob and scanning the card into my house. I sat on the same old couch and went deep into thoughts on the words Andie had said to me.

CHAPTER 6

Claire trudged towards me.

“Are you all right?” Claire asked.

“Yes I think so.” I replied.

I was wordless and I had no reason why. All I was thinking this was not that easy. It should be complicated. My dad had back up for Jasper. I wondered for a long time. This is not going to end. Claire saw my arms were bleeding and this freaked her out. She cried for help from Ethan.

“What’s wrong?” Ethan asked.

“We got to bandage Max.’s arms and send him to a hospital.” Claire explained.
Without hesitation, they did first aid to me. I gave instruction to the people in airport that everything would go as normal now. I didn’t give Ethan a chance to send me to the hospital as I decided to took a fight back New York. Ethan tried to stop me but go in vain. I lied on the comfortable chair thinking how I should deal with my dad when I reached there. Something was amiss but I can’t figure out what is it.

“Mr McGuire, Jasper was dead.” The secretary told my dad.

My dad was very delirious about it and he knew that he got to choose between his son and money. Definitely he chose money. No words could express the secret agony of my soul. I reached New York at 6pm. My arms were not bleeding at the moment and I was pretty satisfied about it. I had not devised a plan yet. I decided to go to the eminent hotel to take a rest. My tiredness knew no bound for sure. I dosed off in minute time. I walked right into my dream world again. This was the perfect time that I saw Liz. She was the one I wanted to whisper into her ears the most.

“Max, do you really know what you are doing? All you do were the killings here and there. I can see that you are in a total confusion. You got to think twice before you do anything. This is the reason why you needed me to.” Liz left after she finished her words.

I was awakened by the venerable alarm clock. I went to the bathroom to take a swift bath. I got changed into a white T-shirt with a loose black jacket over it and wearing a black pant. I gave Mr Ethan a call.

“Ethan, I’m back in New York. Don’t worry; I won’t disintegrate your plan. I’m fine. All you have to do now is to protect the kids over there. I’ll be working for my dad with your undercover there. I’ll assist you in busting my dad’s ‘businesses. I’m doing it my way with or without your acquiescence. I promise that I’ll do a good job out of it’s.” I opined gravely.

“I’ll do my job but you just have to be careful. You have to know that you are the daffiest person I ever met in my whole life. It’s a pity that you are not working for us. I got to wish you all the best I bet. I’ll be coming back to New York in three days time. You hold on in the meantime. Advice is that lines are not always secure. I love the fountain too.” Ethan wished me.

With that, I hung up with him. I still had to think of the first sentence to begin the moment I met up with my dad. While pondering with my thoughts, I looked at the gay flowers that rioted in the garden from my window. I was once again prepared. I took a cab to my dad’s office. The office was like usual so brimming. I took the polished elevator up to floor forty-two. I stepped up of the lift and gated to my dad’s office. I turned the round golden doorknob and stepped right into my dad’s office without even knocking.

“You are the one that caused Jasper’s death. God damn it, he’s my good friend. I came back not to yell at you because I’m not the old Max anymore.” I blared at my dad as I slammed the door hard behind me.

“Well, I’m sorry that Jasper was dead. I’m pretty surprised that you are here. Do you have any idea that Liz gave me an empty diskette?” My dad asked.

“I thought that was the real one. Don’t you dare to raise the issue up again as I had not forgiven you that you had killed Liz. You know I loved her but yet you killed her. I came back after a long vacation.” I lied firmly.

“Well, actually I thought you have the diskette and had planned to send my men to get you but you came back explaining everything to me. I’m gratified that you are back because I need you right now.” My dad confided in me.

I just gave him a recreant smile and went out of his office.

“I’ll be right at home if you need me.” I replied.

I knew by now he would sure send his men to tail me like my own shadow or even had cameras and bugs around my house. Well I’m prepared for all these kinds of stuffs. My dad forgot that I was once a profession killer too. I wondered how Claire is now. I missed her a lot and I got to admit it.

“Where is Max, Ethan you got to tell me his whereabouts?” Claire persisted.

“He’s fine back home. I promise you that you could see him in three days time. Meanwhile stay away from the window.” Ethan assured Claire.

Well I was not worried that Claire would fell for Ethan because safety of her was much more overwhelming. However I still pondering the contradiction of myself moving on with life when Liz was away from this world forever. My dad instructed his men to drive me home. I was pretty calm about that but somehow I got to put up a good show in front of them. It was a typical bad guy story playing being spied. Between the father’s and Liz relationship, I was more bonded to Liz but now that she was dead really brought a great impact in my life. They drove me home in no time and were patrolling in my house like a damn dog. I went into my room in no time to avoid conversation with them. My mobile phone rang just when I sat on my soft bed.

“This was the flower shop; I was calling to ask you to pick up your flower you ordered today in the floral shop. I was sorry but can you also bring another credit card as I the card seemed to be expired. So when are you free to take your flowers?” A familiar sweet female voice said.
I could simply recognise the person was Claire.

“Well I how about tonight as I knew your shop closed at 9.30pm and I hope I won’t get lost in finding the shop like last time and I hope I won’t get wet this time.” I hinted Claire.

“Sure just remember to bring along your other credit card.” Claire reminded.

I was pretty delighted that Claire was here and I was sure Ethan too was here. Well in another sense I felt a sense of pernicious things was going to happen. Well I was keeping my finger close. I took a swift bath and got changed into a simple blue T-shirt and a pair of sandy brown Bermudas. I was thankful to see that Thor was still around. However I knew the jeopardy which I was in and how I might complicate stuff when Claire got involved with me. I didn’t want the history to repeat itself. That was the dominant reason why I had to remain as villain as possible to Claire.

I told the bodyguards sent by my dad that I was going town to pick up a bouquet of flowers. With that, I walked out of the house hopping into my jeep and drove to the floral shop near the fountain in town. I was assured that at the back of my jeep there would be men sent by my dad to spy on me. I could not be fallible, as it would connect to the death of other people. I took a pen and slipped it into the pockets of my Bermudas. I reached the floral shop. I stalled my car along the driveway. I marched into the floral shop as if I was really intending to pick up my bouquet of flowers.

Claire was the shop assistant and Ethan was the customer. Claire was definitely delighted to see me but I didn’t show any return of delightment. I just pick the bouquet of ocean blue roses and walked up to Claire.

“Here my new credit card, you can try to see if it works.” I hinted Claire.

She was disappointed I didn’t show any concern to her. I could see that from her eyes that told me she had untold misery from the way I treated her. I had no option but deep in my heart I knew I cared for her. I write on a tissue paper telling how I had proceeded and crushed the paper and threw it in the bin. I signalled Ethan using eye contact to pick the crushed tissue paper. I took the bouquet of blue roses and hopped back into my jeep and drove back home. In my mind, there’s always a scheme on what’s going to happen next and how should I react to it.

The next imperative thing I had to do is to gather all the softcopies evidences which could determine he was the main ringmaster to the drug smuggling, money laundering, cold blooded murder and all other illegal activities which you could ever name it. This time round he was not going to escape from the majestic law. I would be the one turning him in and be on the cold witness chair testifying against him.

I walked to the once familiar kitchen; I opened the white and vast refrigerator just to seek for the food which I could cook just like a stray cat seeking food from the garbage can in the back alley. I took the piece of raw red fresh beef meat and intended to cook steak for dinner tonight. I used the familiar utensils I once used to cook and eat my scrumptious dinner I cooked. I even did my own washing of the utensils. I walked up to the bar and took a red wine out to have a drink. I poured the red wine into a classy clear wine glass. I swirl my wine glass a little to evolve the aroma of the red wine. I took a sniff at the great red wine before taking a sip and slowly tasting the unique taste of red wine and slowly gulp down into my throat to enjoy the taste of the red wine entirely. I was an excellent wine drinker as well as appreciator. Wine reminds me of Liz a little as when she was still very well alive we often drank and taste different wines from all bars and restaurants.

I believed my dad’s people were outside observing every move I was having now. Their presence did not affected me much. I was enjoying the pleasure which was a painstaking to my dad’s people. I headed to the soundless study room where I used to study when I was in high school which I would look at the school magazine if I had the time. Jasper used to sit at the bright striking orange comfy couch and had a palaver with me whenever he was free. The death of Liz was a changing point of my life.

The most abhor thing I had to do was to pull the trigger of the shot gun which led the bullet to blow through my one and only best friend’s brain. This was the reality I had to face and the guilt is tormenting me every day like a ghost which kept haunting me. I was switching on the laptop in the study room. I was awaiting for my dad’s call to spy on me. I was feeling so pretentious at a moment in the room all by myself with walls surrounded me. My laptop was switched on and it took me quite a long time before I plucked up the courage to scroll to the folder where I used to keep record of every little detail of what was happening in my life every day. It has been so long since I last updated the detail of myself at the day when Liz was shot dead by my inhuman dad. Somehow in this day I still put the blame onto myself although in the right path of facing the reality it might not be my fault. I began to put down in words by racing across the keyboard.

15th June 2000
I am back in this cold materialistic country, New York. Few hours back, I had a cowboy gun shooting which include a life and death game with Jasper. I won the game. It was a gruelling decision for me to make to kill him in one shot or just injure him but the solution come up as a final instinct of human reaction to duck from enemy’s pistol bullet and reacting using self defence by shooting back at him. Guilt never stopped a single day to torment me making me feel remorseful about Liz and Jasper’s death. I had to move on in bringing my dad’s down to face with the jury. I finally realised I treated Claire as Liz replacement which was unfair to her and I decided to break up with her thoroughly. Ethan is my only partner here to know I was working for him. I did not mind facing the stake where dad would turn on my laptop and read it. It did not matter anyway as I was tired of concealing and lying in my whole entire life. I wish Claire would understand the plight I am in. I was not expecting for her forgiveness. I think Ethan and her made a pretty compatible match honesty.
Max

As I signed off in my laptop and locked all the system to be in the hidden file and lock with all the password, the house phone was ringing. It is predictable that it might be from my dad.

“Max, I was thinking to give you a call to see how you were doing as since it had been a long time since you ran off away from New York and now you were back? I was wondering how were you adapting? I was sorry to call you at such an odd hour. I was concern about you.” My dad began.

“Well I was adapting pretty well back here it was just the sleeping hours I could not adapt. I was still up playing computer games. Thanks dad, for the concern. I was thinking it was rather late. We shall continue with the conversation tomorrow morning then.” I ended the conversation in a short huff.

Dad was a pretty grave and straight forward person which I did not even have to spend time entertaining. It was rather asinine to lie to dad that I had forgiven him for murdering my dearest girlfriend. I rather let things go by nature. I was intending to sneak into dad’s office in two days time as I guessed he was a very predictable person who might asked his only son to do the laundering of black market money which was my usual task in my past days.

I would have to establish the closest relationship with dad to gain his entrustment to the whole firm he was holding which was kind of cliché like a movie you caught in the cinema near you. I got onto my comfy waterbed trying to catch a forty winks. I dreamed of the very fatal night when Liz was coldly shot dead by my dad lying in a pool of blood. I woke up instantly from the nightmare which I had been dreaming for the past few months. The remorsefulness was flowing in my whole body killing me gradually.

I guessed this dream would never come to an end just the Shakespeare story of Macbeth’s wife killing the king and had an imaginary blood stain on her hands which was caused by her conscience. I snagged my white shirt off the hook on the back of the door and headed toward the bathroom. I turned on one of the stainless steel taps slowly letting small gush of water to flow out from the shower head. A chill ran swiftly up my back causing the nape of my neck to tinkle by the cold water, I turned the other slowly stainless steel tap slowly trying to make the water warmer with the warm water. Steam derived from warm water from the shower head fogged the stainless steel taps and the entire bathroom increasingly. I was feeling more refresh with a clear mind after the shower. I was well-dressed with my purely white cotton shirt and black business suit. I got onto my jeep to set off to office to work.

Cool morning breeze brushed through my face as I drove my jeep at hundred meters per hour. I had no doubt that I was being followed. I reached the office in ten minutes time. I parked my jeep in the car park. I took the swift high technology elevator up to twenty-five storey where my dad’s office was. I zapped in my card to enter into the office and enter into my room. I switched on my computer instantly. I walked to my dad’s room and have no surprise he was there.

“You are early, my son. Have you taken your breakfast? Do you want to join me for breakfast?”
My dad greeted me.

“It would be my pleasure to join you for breakfast.” I lied as I sat down on the chair to eat my breakfast.
It would be almost a perfect breakfast but the only thing was it was the person you were having breakfast with was not right. I was having lightly scrambled eggs, toast, crisp bacon and a glass of orange juice for breakfast. I was sated after this delectable breakfast.

“How’s the breakfast, son? It has really been a long time since we had breakfast at the same table together.” My dad interrupted.

“The breakfast is fantastic just like before. It definitely replenished my energy to start work at the beginning of the day. Thanks for inviting me to join you for breakfast.” I replied instantly.

“Glad to hear you enjoy the breakfast. I had an assignment for you to do. Well I knew you were weary for killing people for me. I had assigned you with a simple social interacting job with the associates of other firm to clinch a deal with them regarding on the legal trade of investment on the surface but the real deal is on the drugs. I am the main supplier to their firm. This deal is definitely critical to us as they are suggesting to give us ten million dollars if the deal is successful.” My dad instructed.

“Where is the deal held? Thank you for being so understanding to my plight.” I asked.

“The deal is going to take place in the renowned restaurant of the Swiss Hotel at noon. The person who is having the talk with you is Ethan working from the Dicken’s Associates. You have all my best wishes to you, son. I hope we can open a bottle of champagne to celebrate the good news when you are back.” My dad added.

I just gave him a confident smile back in reply. I was thinking the person I was going to meet whether it would be Ethan from the FBI. I got a strong perception he was the one. I would give him a thumb up for deceiving my dad. I was packing the documents in my backpack getting ready to set off to Swiss Hotel. I took the usual elevator down to car park where I stalled my jeep. I drove to the hotel anticipating of the person I was going to meet up with. It took me a mere half an hour drive to the hotel. I went straight to the restaurant. The service from this restaurant was beyond the normal standard of other restaurants’ services. It was perfectly pleasant. The mood for the restaurant was definitely right saturated with jazz and slow new age music. The ambience matched the food varieties that were being served perfectly.

“What would you like to have?” The waiter asked politely in the most refined way.

“I think I would just like to have a glass of orange Grande. I would give my order when my friend arrived. Thank you.” I replied.

Time was slipping past as I was awaiting for the client. The waiter served my glass of orange Grande. I was sipping the glass of orange Grande through the black bendable straw. The orange juice quenched my thirst instantly especially at this point of time when the weather was sweltering hot.

“You must be Max. I am Ethan from Dicken’s Associates. Sorry I was late. Traffic was pretty chaotic and heavy at the bridge.” Ethan began.

“Hi, you are not late. I was early. Traffic was predictable busy.” I responded as I raised my head to look at him and giving him a smile back.
I signalled the waiter to take our order. We were given with the menu. We browse the menu instantly.

“I would like to have the Smoked steak and a cup brewed Irish coffee.” Ethan gave his order of the menu.

“I think I would have the smoked Salmon and a glass of red wine. Thank you.” I gave my order.
Ethan signalled me to be quiet while he took out his watch and clicked it trying to tap for any tapped system being placed over here. He also took out a lighter and that lighter had a way to block off all waves of sound where people might try to tap over our conversation.

“Well that was pretty prepared. Remind me to give you an award next time.” I spoke.

“How have you been? Be careful, well the transaction we were going to have today was part of the evidence we were trying to create against your dad. You looked very tired, my friend. I treat you more like a friend rather from the work partner. Take care of yourself pal.” Ethan replied.

“Well thank you for treating me as a friend. I appreciated that a lot really. The transaction was not going to be easy as my dad was the one going to pull through the bank and do the laundering himself. I was just going to make business contract with you today. The goods will be delivered to you in three days time by another man. I would be tapping on the transaction of the money laundering of the bank soon. I needed time more to gain his trust. I just could not get to sleep as my past was haunting me till now. My dad was a very cautious person and I believed he might be checking on your firm sooner than you can expect. I need you to sign here on the contract over here. It was procedure and this was how it was being done.” I added.

“I have faith in you but do remember you life is as important as this assignment. I have to go, keep in touch.” Ethan shook my hands in giving a wrong sense as we signed a deal.
We headed separate ways. I drove back to the office thinking of a way to tap onto the file. There was these think as identical identity. I was thinking maybe Ethan could help me. I was delighted of my plan and at the same fear for possibility of my plan failing. In life everything can happen in a second of time, everything is possible. The only thing we could do is to accept the unexpected. I reached the office soon and passed the contract to my dad’s secretary. I headed to my office room and sat on the black polished arm chair and took a look to the breath taking view out of the clear white panel. I was beginning to enjoy the view when the knocking of my office door began.

“Come in,” I responded.

“Well son, it was a good deal you had clenched. Am I disturbing you?” my dad began.

“It was a good deal indeed. Nope you are not disturbing me, I was just looking at the view outside.” I lied.

“Glad to hear that, well I need you to do the banking of the system for me. I trusted you, do not betray my trust, Max. Get it done by tomorrow morning. Here is the key and authorisation card.” My dad passed me the stuff as he walked out of the room.
I took the card and key and put it in my right hand pocket. In my heart I was thinking the time was perfect great opportunity.

‘Sorry dad,’ was the only thing I could have been thinking in my mind.

I clicked the button of my watch and send signal to Ethan to meet me in the bank asking him to be there earlier than I would be.
