Bidding Goodbye to my terrapins.

I was awakened promptly by the barking from my Dog, Trio. I woke up realizing my mom was back from her morning grocery shopping routine. i woke up heading to the kitchen to greet my terrapins good morning as usual after greeting my mom and dog. I realized my terrapins have been given freedom to a new home at the lake of the park where they would have a lot of other terrapins friends. i kinda of miss them but it was mom's decision.

Trio and the terrapins were playing on Thursday night and Friday they are gone. I went to watch the movie, Knight and Day with Yc and flower at Vivo city. i also realized i fall in love watching movie at vivo city.. We had dinner at the restaurant , Mussel. it was not too bad but i miss the pasta at lygon street.

Rating for the movie, The knight and Day.
It was a pretty surprisingly interesting and enjoyable comedy movie to me. Initially i thought Tom cruize is gonna play his normal acting serious stunts as an agent from mission impossible. It is kinda of different, in this movie he is kinda of more relaxed playing as Roy Miller who is an agent who given up his identity as Matthew Knight who tried to protect a high school geek who designed the new gadget, a battery which has ability to operate a submarine and etc. The common scenario how this geek is going to be tracked and the mafia and the agent who has turned rouge is after the geek and the battery. Tom cruize still have the charm in the movie...

The chemistry between Cameron diaz and Tom Cruize is incredibly good for me. Cameron diaz did her usual smile and laughter in the movie which she has done it all the time in her past movies. She is really good playing the paranoid kinda or girl and kick ass in the end at the same time. She played June Havens the girl who is good at fixing car especially when she got the classic GTO car. She was being being dragged into the crazy situation when she took the same plane back to Boston as Roy Miller.

I would consider this is a fun and beautiful movie to catch. i would rate this movie, 6.5/10/

Trio and 2 Terrapins...

Roast Duck Dinner

Yc and i are checking out the air tix and expo tickets at chinatown.
We have had roast duck for dinner today as YC feel like eating roast duck as he has not been eating roast duck since he is back from Aus... hehe and i know of a roast duck place at 91 Keong Saik Road, 0891729238 6008‎. hongkongroast.blogspot.com and we decided to give it a try. The chef of the stall seemed to be from Hong Kong.

We have had roast duck and pork and a bowl of wonton. The food turned out out to be quite good. i will definitely go back there again. It is my first time there...i love the chilli as it taste like prawn paste chilli. The food from this stall kinda of remind me of the older days back in Polytechnic food court 1 food... i would always have wonton soup for my lunch...

Viet Food at Yummy Viet Restaurant

I have had viet food at Yummy Viet Restaurant at 28 Smith Street, Chinatown, Singapore 058942 with my primary school good friends with Peizhi and choon mei today... hehe i cahnged the location there as my tummy is not feeling too good from yesterday spicy dinner...

i love the viet food there except for the rice roll texture of the skin isn;t that fantastic.... the soup of the chicken noodle was good but the chicken cannot be compared to the grilled chicken. i prefer grill chicken.. http://www.yummyviet.com.sg/ The rating of the restaurant is as shown as the following:

Majong and my favourite sting ray

Sunday is dedicated to God in the Morning. I have a lot of decisions to make. Should i go for my baptism? i know it is time for me to serve Lord. I have to think for quite a long time as this decision which i am making, i am worried that my mom is upset in her heart even though she said she would let me decide upon my decision. Sunday service sermon by Pastor Johnny kinda of bring back familiar situation i am facing. Everytime i decide to be so focus with Lord's words, there is sure to be things bound to stop me from going ahead like my uni school loads increases and a whole loads of unforseen circumstances would come along. I don;t know lately my life as a christian, i began to have so many questions in life which i am trying to find an answer to but i have yet to know them. Pastor Johnny said the only way we can find out the answer is when our heart has really let Lord in and we have done our testimony.

There is an increase in churches teaching the sermon and interpret Lord's words wrongly and it is getting more tough to define them. I am thankful that Robert's wife try to talk to me about baptism. i have been struggling with that decision for a long long time.

After church i headed to Robert's place to hang around with them... The kids enjoy playing my iphone and i am glad to see their smiles. as usual the stupid batt of iphone can;t last that long...

I headed off to meet my secondary school good friends for dinner. We went to have dinner at Rong Guan. We have had fried rice, sting ray, sambal sotong, you tiao salad, sambal kang gong and cereal prawn. i am going to rate this restaurant, Rong Guan. It is located at Ulu Panda.

I enjoyed my dinner with Huixian, Choon Mei, Hanjie, Shan and Ivy Leong. we headed to Shan's place for majong and i enjoy the majong lesson from Choon Mei. Seng joined us later as he just finished his reservist for a week. Poor him.... He has a new hair cut. hehe :) i love them always... It has been almost 1 and half year ago since we hang together when i was back from Melbourne.

Migrane Again

I seem to be experience migrane here more than ever. Today is the worst migrane i have ever had this morning, i was about to head out to meet Flower and her ABC friends. hai i hope she has great fun today.

i went back to sleep till about 1.30pm. Ou yang was playing badminton today while i was playing yesterday with Min Lee. It has been a long time since i catch up with her. It was rather exhausting yesterday. The weather might has played in that role in making my body feeling so exhausted. We had some light chinese snacks later on at Xiao Xuan Feng restaurant yesterday.

My patience seems to be running low lately with stuff especially organizing stuff like gathering and etc. The weather. migrane and my continuity of sleeping disorder Feeling rather remorseful after i lose my cool on the facebook tread messages and i have decided to not to comment too much and head back to sleep. My S.O.B is coming back in the middle of the night.

Have u ever keep dreaming of how the future of how your friends are like and you can only congradulate or give them your blessing from your heart as they can;t see you or even hear you? This is not the first time i dream that. It is bizzare but i am rather happy to see they are happy. That would be enough for me. That is the brevity of life i suppose. It reminds me of the bible verse Psalm 90:10. i have not done enough yet for now.

Mom made my favourite luncheon meat, cauliflouwer and curry chicken for dinner. I am going to rest early again today for tomorrow is going to be a long day. Church in the morning and afternoon and dinner gathering with my secondary school good friends in the evening.

Weather

There are more drastic changes as the years go by. The weather affects the world we love in around us. Have you all been wondering if the weather has been increasing? It has and it is not just happening to Singapore. I am sure everyone knows about the situation the earth is in now.

Singapore itself faces the worst flood ever in the popular shopping district which has never happen before. I am not going to put in the photos like the rest have. I experienced the worst hail ever in Melbourne as well with the flood. It is vivid in my memory.

I guess this is still an early wake up call for all of us to do our part in saving the earth. every little things matter even if you switch off the light or do more recycling. i guess abeing aware of the weather changes is one thing but the action for remedy is another. Coppenhagen talk was a total failure to me which was tragic. Do your part as this is just not where you stay and it is also for your future generations.

Lastly learn to appreciate and care for everyone around your life in every second of your life. Life would be rich in this way... Being contented is way to being happy.

Chicken Devil's Curry

Hi , my good friend, yiling just recommended this curry which was pretty popular back in Malaca in the 15th Century which is specially cooked for the portuguese settlers. It brought back a lot of memories for people who are familiar with this dish. This dish is specially prepared after Chirstmas usually as people from the past would mixed the left over from the christmas Feast to prepared this curry. Chicken Devil's curry the name derived from the hot tropical country we are experiencing now.

This curry is specially home made with english suasage, chinese lap chiong, bacon bones, chicken, roast pork and charsiew. The curry is made from scratch without any curry powder. It used to be very spicy but it has been tone down. I thought it is kinda of special and homey.

PC Fair Day (saturday)

It has really been donkey years since i have been to a PC fair which is about 4 years ago when i got my ASUS lappie. It is once again a very very humid weather in Singapore. Reading the newspapers from ST today, the weather in Singapore has been increasing since when i was a kid. It is not that i am not adaptable to SG weather merely. Ash has text me while i am in bed that she is downstair at my block. hehe she has participated in the mizurno mt faber run that why she is here. hehe i really admire her stamina... :) Well done girl...

I met up with YC earlier at orchard yesterday and was supposed to eat at Pho Lan which changed to become a japanese restaurant. We headed all the wway to Bugis and went to Miss Saigon to have viet food. I am kinda of missing the viet food in Melbourne and hence i have decided to go for viet food yesterday. Miss Saigon restaurant is a contemporary kinda of the viet restaurant.

The overall critic of Miss Saigon restaurant, i would recommend you to try it but for me this will be first and last time i will be there. This is subjective as i have had better viet food back in Melbourne which is of the price range $5-$12 which really leaves a deep impression. I am not going to give any comment of the value of the food further as i am gonna be very biased on that as i am too used to the proportion of food back in Melbourne. The rice rolls are pretty good but the portion is really meant for the SG appetizer like a french food. The grilled chicken noodle soup is so tasteless in term of the soup i have to add so much chilli and fish sauce into my soup. I have to give credit the grilled chicken taste good never the less. I am happy though as at least i tried the food there.

We have walked toward suntec convention centre where the PC fair is being held. It is really pack but according to YC , this is still not the worst... I have great improvement in overcome my phobia and SOB. with large amount of people there. Yc has a great deal in his laser printer and i have got greast deal in my Buffalo 2TB external Harddisk. hehe... We head off to have dinner at Marina Square. We have had fishball noodle and the Teochew Wanton. The simple dinner taste so good to me. Probably i am tired and hungry after the show. My feet are aching as i am wearing the new shoes which needs to be seasoned seriousily. YC got the shock of his life when he is lifting up the tray to put the food and saw school of small cockraoaches running around which u can imagine like in any cartoon or any forest scenario. I ponder how did that happened but never mind about it as the most important is how do we prevent that from happening after all Singapore has always leaves impression of a clean city to my aussie friends.

This reminds me of an article in ST today talking about the litter of a building block which is apalling. Is is just the cleaners' responsibilty? my answer to this is no as i think all of us play a part too as this would contribute to better and healthy living of our life.

We headed to Bugis and i got two new toys for trio to play fetch and tug of war with. We met up Janis there and head to Illuma to chill and catch up with our fruit juices. Like Janis i am also exhausted from the whole day. i can't barely even wake up today even though i set up my alarm clock. Talking about that i have had a weird nightmare about one yellow FROG who is trying to jump onto my face... Slimy creature which wakes me up promptly in the wee morning before i sleep again.

Saturday is kinda of rich for me, as i have got my stuff and eat the food i am craving for and of course spending time with my gd friends YC and Janis. Trio get her favourite toys which my mom is so happy about....funny... The toy i got for her can bounce and is kinda of fun and Trio loves it. I have had a weird dream yesterday night of a big yellow frog who kept trying to hop onton my face... bizzare...

Little Memory Boost

Our brain is such a wonderful instrument which we have ever owned. For that ia m thankful to Lord. I have one thing just to pray for beside health, i pray that my memory would improve. I have to say that our memory deteroriate as our ages are going up like a stock market.

Mom would always tried to brew a lot of different soups in giving me strength and memory boost. I ponder sometime do they really help but i appreciate mom's effort in taking care of me over here since i have been back. Maybe that is what peizhi would said, that is the ai xin and wen xin soup i am having.

PC fair is once again held in Singapore. It has been so long since i have been to one where i got my Asus Laptop. Tomorrow yc and i are going to go to the pc fair at Suntec. He is going to looking at the printers while i am looking at my external harddrive once again. I am gonna check out the buffalo ehd. Why do i always ran out of storage space i ponder in the digital world? Our brains are really amazing which we can store endless memories and stuff. We can even stored unhappy memories in a chest box locked deep within. My brain currently function like an old person, i can remember things that happened long long time ago in details vividly but i cannot remember things which happen maybe ten mins to a day ago stuff.

It is so incredible how our body can camouflage or conceal our body condition... Irregardless of all these, i just find it interesting to link them as a topic for discussion. i am looking forward to the PC fair and chill out time with YC and janis. i have got an urge to eat viet food out of the sudden... lol i am going to have one for lunch tomorrow... :)

Oh ya almost forgotten there is a funny incident that just happened. Hehe i am walking Trio near the park near my place. We are walking on a slope. Trio shitted on the slope and her round piece of shit just rolled down along the slope and i am like chasing after the shit with the shit bag.. That is kinda of a laughing stockhead of me.....but at least no one will ever known about it except people who i have told and for people who read my blog. I do not want others to step on trio's shit as i do not think that is right and considerate to leave the dog shit behind as a dog owner..

Sentosa Trip with Yc, flower & her friends

It can be quite distracting to write about my journal with the saturated smell of curry chicken filling in my room from my neighbour's cooking...Ok i shall try to get focus and finish typing the journal entry for today which took placed on yesterday.

It is indeed a perfect weather to go Sentosa yesterday as i am not into the trend of getting myself tan. There are dark clouds which are overcasted across the sky of Sentosa yesterday during noon time. It has been so long since i have been to Sentosa. It changes so much till i cannot even regonized it myself too. It used to be a hangout spot for me and my poly and sec. sch mates. I love the musical fountain the most. Once again is another place full of memories...Sentosa has become a very restricted area, the area which i would often swim across to another island is being banned now. I really adhorred the part when i saw the trash bag at the sea and it takes ages before the life guard do anything about it till she sees the cleaner coming along. i do adhor the people who threw the trash in the sea too... i feel like picking the trash myself. Sentosa has turned into a more money chunning island itself tragically...

In the early morning, while waiting for flower, Yc and i went to Toast Box to have our breakie.. I have had 2 half boiled eggs, 2 minature kaya toast and 1 cup of tea. Yc have had breadtop bread and one cup of tea... hehe Yc even helped me with cracking of the egg as it is so freaking hot. Thanks Yc. I still remember how i have tried to make the half boiled egg. i have failed at least 5 times before it was successful, lol it was either too raw or it became hard boiled eggs.

Qiuhua's friends have been very patience with us as we are once again so late. We have taken the train from Vivo to Sentosa. They are those mini monorail train with only 2 carriages/ cabins.

We are sandwiched like squash banana. Talking about bananas, Flower brought bananas for picnic and they almost melt like a snow man. We had those ice breaking games which are really classic. I have to say remembering names are so tough, i am better at remembering faces more... We have some other games like captainball and frisbee which are really classic as well..which i really miss playing especially captainball....The funniest part is i don't even know when and how i got a cut on my toe.... I only felt the pain when i was in the shower and when i saw it... bugger...

You know the interesting thing is, this is the first time i have seen pearly white smile from most all her friends throughout the day. I have seldom seen that smile from any Tom, Dick ior Harry in Singapore for a long time. Singapore has kind of turned to become more economic booming orientated than caring more about the well-being of the people of Singapore. There is positive and negative points on this. The positive part of this is Singapore is never gonna suffered like how Europe , US and Aus suffered on the finanacial meltdown. The negative part of this is people who keeps working are turning to become more focus onto financial side and lose the most important part of life of appreciating things or people around you and even the health. They would also forget about the basic courtesy of showing kindness to one another. However i hope this is just part of the minority. Qiuhua's friends kinda of made me feel Singapore is not that cold afterall, there is still some form of friendly and kindness warmth in it. For that, i am thankful.

I really do enjoy myself there with YC, flower and her friends. Thanks flower... Her friends really cooked well which remind me of the potluck session back in Melbourne. Thank God, somebody invented sun block lotion. i applied that and did not get that much of tan. After the sentosa trip, flower is into the thought of shopping spree lol, but she did not get to see anything that please her into getting.. i got myself a pair of shoes and my stationeries box.

We had a late supper at soup spoon. The poor waitress got her hand burnt slightly by the hot pot. i have my personal fav clam chowder but it was not that fantastic. I wanted to have clam chowder as i can hardly find it back in Melbourne. Now i am missing the german pub i went with kk, Anqi and rest on my farewell dinner and i missed the blue cheese gravy Gilbert prepared for our roast back than... It is winter in Melbourne now and it is almost time for the winter x'mas back there. i was chatting with Michelle on facebook and saw all the winter lights being hung up and i realized hmm i felt like chrissie again.

Once again on Sunday, the weather went scorching hot like a desert.. Shan came over my place today to catch Sex and the City 1.. i am so dying to catch sex in the city 2 lol....It is so hard to find the bulb for my bedside lamp... i am so tempted into getting the action city lamp. If yc did not remind me that those ambience light is useless for task reading , i would have gotten it... lol Thanks yea.. Flower is also tempted into getting it as well..... ok That all about it for today and yesterday.... I am gonna get back and focus into the shanghai trip itiniary...
